Kinga & Ania
Email: email@example.comTwo sisters and best friends Ania and Kinga Kobak are talented, Montreal based (Canada) artists who create exquisite hand embroidered jewelry. They were raised in artistic family, surrounded by father’s paintings, striking charcoal drawings and wooden sculptures. Both were wearing mother’s knitted and crocheted outfits as their creativity and imagination fast emerged. Master of Laws degree for Ania, studies and experience in finances for Kinga helped them to excel in precision, attention to details, patience and perseverance. These factors along with creativity are so important in this demanding and laborious technique of jewelry making. In 2013 Ania discovered existence of embroidered jewelry made of silky cords and immediately it become their passion. The vision of endless possibilities began.
This embroidery technique is about stacking the colorful cord (soutache) in multiple layers and stitching them together with crystals, glass beads or gemstones. It is very time consuming, as it takes hours to make a pair of earrings and days or weeks to make a necklace. This jewelry is extremely light-weight so even an extra long, heavy looking earrings can be worn all day with no problems. Every piece is unique, versatile, stylish and luxurious.
KOBAK BIJOUX refined wearable art is already greatly appreciated by clients from Canada, Italy, France, Israel and United States.
